Tilted and swivel brackets

Part Three: Tilted & Swivel Brackets.
Welcome back to part three – tilted brackets for your HD LCD/Plasma/3D TV. We hope that our post on fixed brackets and their positions has been of some benefit for you, but today we would like to explain a bit about not only tilt, but swivel brackets also.
Tilt brackets allow you to tilt the screen up or down to change the vertical viewing angle, while 'tilt & swivel' brackets let you tip the screen forward and turn it from side to side.
Small screen LCD TVs can also be mounted using brackets with more elaborate mechanisms for extra flexibility, making them perfect for kitchen or bedroom installations. You can buy brackets with an arm that pans from side to side, or ones that tilt, swivel, pan and extend. These allow you to position the screen at any conceivable angle and then tuck it away neatly when you're done.
There is not a huge difference between these types of brackets compared with the fixed brackets really, but there is more flexibility overall. But as with most things, a pro is always closely followed by a con, and in this case a tilt/swivel bracket is fantastic for smaller HD LCD/Plasma/3D TV’s, but the larger the TV gets, the harder the installation becomes.
Although the issue HomeAV mentioned previous is not a major one, we recommend you think long and hard about what exactly you would like your HD LCD/Plasma/3D TV to look like and which position best suits the room in which you have chosen for it to be wall mounted within.
REMEMBER: The bracket and its stability will affect the finished product!
Be back tomorrow with Part Four motorised/elevation brackets
Kindest Regards, HomeAV
